YOOOOO, that's how we do it!!! 1st PLACE BABY!!

This post is a tad bit too late, but better late than never, ya’know ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ .  

This robot day was a fun way for me to finally make a cartoon after about 3 years, as well as doing so in a manner that forced me to make shit under a deadline, NG competitions. There always a fun excuse for me to make a comic or cartoon so seeing one that actually got on the rackets and managed to get 1st place is insane, and the response the cartoon has gotten has not only been extremely flattering but also goes to show the NG community at its best. There was a shit ton of cool art and cartoons made this past robot day so being a part of the many friendly competitions that I see across the site is not only fun as hell but gives everyone an excuse to make cool shit and work together.  

 As I’ve said in the description on the toon, I originally wanted this to be less than a minute, but it turned into 13 minutes 0_o, it's a bad habit where I bloat up a cartoon or story by adding scene after scene in it, a single sentence describing a scene could be 2 minutes in the final cartoon, Turned what should’ve been a simple weekend project into a whole 13 minutes to voice, edit, and animate.  

To get it out on time I used every technique in the book, posterized backgrounds, no in-betweens on certain shots, really just picking and choosing your battles, by the time I was done with it I was exhausted but I'd be lying if I didn’t say that seeing it uploaded wasn’t satisfying  

One of the major critiques I’ve seen people mention is the audio and yeah, makes sense. Audio production and editing are not a specialty of mine, having done the audio for the whole cartoon in a single night. If I had more time, I'd defiantly labor more at it, but right now the audio is being worked on by my good pal Cokenuts and should be done sometime this month.  

I also wanted to thank Saide for not only voicing in it but doing BGs for the toon, and well as Jaster for the additional lip sync, and both of them being honest with the script and cutting down scenes that while I would've loved to keep, just made the cartoon longer and longer, God knows I needed it to get this out on time, I’m still learning I tell yah !  

I’m working on a cartoon right now where if you're a fan of Synthetic Sentiment, I'm sure you'd like it, It’s a lot more “pulpy” in nature, can’t say definitively when it will be released but I promise that I’ll be worth it 🙏
